Hey guys, wondering if you could help me out. My son just got his jersey this evening for flag football, last year he wore #45, we called him little Rudy, this year #45 was taken and he got #42, can you guys help me find the names of some Domers who wore #42, it makes for good fodder when we the parents are sitting on the sidelines, thanks for your help ( wow, what a run on sentence that was  )

Shane Walton was All-American in 2002. I am pretty young so maybe some body that is older than me can dig up some info on the number.

I love Walton to he was a great Corner, I believe he was on the Soccer team and then walked on to the Football team.

Beat me...yeah he was a soccer player, he always said that football was a really slow game to him. Which explains why he was so quick to the ball.

I don't know of anyone as 42? But if he's your "lottle Rudy" that's more important coming from his parents. :D

Well hopefully Weis can get Walton type players to come to ND. I guess thats the only 42 I can remember.

Walton was awesome, it is no shame to be wearing that number instead of Rudy's. Kevin Washington, a recruit from Texas is currently wearing the number now.

Umm........how about MICHAEL STONEBREAKER? Not only was he a 2-time All-American at linebacker, but that is just a killer name!

Stonebreaker was awesome! that was one mean and nasty football player. My favorite memory of him was in 1988 when #1 ND played #2 USC and Rodney Peete threw an interception. I forget who caught it but they returned it to the house. Anyway in the replays you could see Stoney after the interception and he immidiately went looking for Peete. He absolutely laid him out. If memory serves Peete didn't come back for awhile if at all. Stonebreaker is microcosm of what a ND football player should be!!!

Amen to that...Stonebreaker was mean dude..had the pleasure of meeting him at Saint Marys..he was as crazy off the field as he was on the field..if my memory serves me right I believe he got into some trouble w/ the law at Saint Marys a short time after that..he like drove over a stop sign or something..this guy could've been huge in the NFL but I think his head got in the way.

So it looks like you're down to Walton and Stonebreaker. My money's still on Stonebreaker, but Walton was great too. Decisions, decisions.
