He's top 100 on some sites...a nice pick up after it appeared ND wasn't getting anyone for this class.

Keep your heads turned towards football until Brey is fired. Worst. Coach. In D-1. EVER. I refuse to root for my alma mater with him at the helm. Anyone choosing to play for him is just as bad.

Irishwavend it's not good to keep your feelings bottled up inside. Nobody is thrilled with Brey. I can't even look at him - he looks like a reptile. BUT I enjoy basketball and when they come to the Garden, I go and scream my head off and I try to catch the televised games and pretend I could coach them a helluva lot better. It is something to watch in the off season.

He reminds me of Ira from Mad About You. (Just snuck in here so I could see my name under all four message board headings at once.)

It's nice to have an alternate team. In this case, I grew up with the Memphis Tigers, so as long as they're out there, I can afford to ignore ND Basketball. I know some aren't as fortunate... ha. This is also coming from someone who used to sit on the sidelines while working for Sports Info.

I look at it this way. If ND decided to stick with its little experiment in being PC with Ty Willingham, and we were STILL forced to watch his inept teams, would you tune in to watch Irish football? That would be 7 years of misery. I'd find another team until we decided to move on.

...and fencing.

Good point! Maybe baseball will be looking up for us this year, too!

I used to follow the baseball team on the computer....it was a simulation.....Kind of like the first computer game on the tv....it was called pong......guess that shows my age.
With that said I will never quit following ND basketball and I truly enjoyed the run in the Big East last year to make the tournament. If Gody had just showed up for the first round we would have advanced.
