Pat Forde has to get his jab in about the firing of Ty but all in all it's a nice article. The part about Ty is hilareous. He basically says that Ty was a lame duck but ND shouldn't have fired him. In other words my pinto is couging and sputtering but I'm going to run it in the Daytona 500 b/c a while back I was nice enough to enter my Yugo coughing and sputtering as well.

Toby: It was a nice bit by Forde on Rudy and Weis.

There has to be someting negative in every Irish article today. Grow, get readership on your own and not from pounding ND. Move on. When will we quit hearing about this 2015? Who mentions that former guy will get 2 million bucks this year and 2 million gets year? I'm weeping.

I'm more interested in the attitude conveyed to the team. Never look at anything like it can't be won. You could sse the players give up last year. They had no confidence in the coaches. One did remark a bit back "I had better coaching in High School then." I'm not sure if he was being "flip" or not.

I have been thinking this too. Every time I turn on the channel, Weis. Every Sportscenter I watch, an update on ND football.

I'm not too overly concerned with what's on ESPN, mainly because I bet if you ask any school in the country, except USC, they probably all say that ESPN has it out for them. It's good to be king, I suppose. ESPN is simply following the old "If it bleeds, it leads" mantra in journalism. I'm fiarly confident that WHEN Notre Dame is coming off back-to-back NC's, ESPN will be our biggest cheerleaders.
