Raeshon McNeil has yet to visit UNC. He plans to visit them when they start school. He also stated that he would like to have a decision before his season starts, and for those of you wondering it starts Aug. 19.

A bulk of the players do wish to commit before Fall HS ball starts.

It's so that if they received an injury the verb still is out there and in general a school like ND will stay committed.

Whereas if you delay and somewhere in the HS year you injure yourself or blow out a knee all the schools stop calling you and your career ended.

He's supposedly four stars. I never actually saw him play but I like his size and speed. I have a bad feeling about this though. I honestly think he is UNC bound, but I have been wrong before (Jamie Cumbie).

I heard that he is announcing Monday. Don't expect anything because I am not sure if this is true because he has yet to visit UNC. I think maybe he did his research and realized that UNC has signed over 6 DB recruits this and last year. Also, there is no architecture program at UNC and that is his supposed major.

A quick check told me he's only made an unofficial visit (date unknown) But Tenn is also listed as one of his choices. Doesn't tenn have degrees in archicture? (Not that you can tell from their city sky line. :D )

We are definitely in the lead for McNeil. He needs to be blown away by NC in order to not be Irish.

As far as how he is ranked. The only ranking I really rely on is the fact that he was one of the first corners offered by Charlie. that's all I need. but he is still rated by rivals pretty well.

Everything I had always heard had McNeil listing the Irish as a strong favorite. I know people's feelings and opinions change over time, but one has to think that with the uncertainty in our secondary and the departure of Freddie Parrish IV, McNeil has to still be high on the Irish. Just my opinion, but my opinion is based on logic....................and that damn unbridled optimism.

hes not going to North Carolina at all. He was supposed to go with his old teamate who goes to UNC. His announcement is on monday on espn. so we can speculate til then

A countdown begins. Not to be pessimistic, but if we do not land this kid recruiting would be turned upside down. Besides Darrin Walls, off the top of my head I can't name another true CB that was offered with serious interest in us, but have no fear IrishNation, he will be Irish (Knock on wood). Even if we don't, once we offer Strozier, he's ours and once we offer Williams, he is ours because no OSU offer is coming his way.

If 2:45 (Indiana time) comes and goes as I expect it to, my head will officially explode. I will literally be pacing until the very second of kickoff on Sept. 3rd. Irish football used to be detrimental to my health for the wrong reasons. At least this season (so far) it's raising my blood pressure the right way. Go IRISH!

No Broker, I won't be going to the game. As of right now, I only have tickets to the Purdue game, but I'm working on getting to a couple home games as well as the Michigan game. Rest assured, I may not be in Pitt for the game, but everyone there will still feel my intensity. GO IRISH!
