I'm just curious what you guys think of the Eric Devendorf situation at Syracuse? For those of you who aren't up-to-snuff on the happenings, its okay, I've provided a link below. Eric has been suspended from SU for the rest of the academic year after having been involved in an altercation with a female student. There is so much heresay (sp?) going on on campus here in Syracuse, if I were to place a bet, I'd likely say he did what he was accused of (this is just my opinion). Some of these guys walk around Syracuse like they own the place and are infalable. This decision should be a reminder to all athletes, it will catch up with you at some point if you decide to step off the path of the straight and narrow.

Eric Devendorf: A harsh lesson (http://blog.syracuse.com/idolthoughts/2008/12/eric_devendorf_a_lesson_in_cel.html)

I know this stuff happens at times at campuses all over the U.S. but it doesn't make it right, I'm glad to see justice prevail.

What a class A scumbag. Just take a look into his past to see that this wasn't a fluke.

On a side note, I'm glad he's not playing as he seemed to be one of their best players.

Looks like he's getting a 6 game suspension. 40 hours of community service will allow him to enroll for the spring semester, and regain his NCAA eligibility.

I'm glad Syracuse takes a tough stance on repeat offenders--I'm sure campus is that much safer now.

The post of the day ;) My guess is his community service will be a cake walk, as soon as I hear what it is I will report back, coach boeheim will probably find some cushy gig for him over the christmas break (via a friend of the programs). It will probably end up working in Eric favors in the end.
