Tonight's Maui Invitational Championship game between Notre Dame and North Carolina has a definite March feel to it as two of the top teams go head-to-head in what should be a marquee classic.

Well we lost by double digits but we are SO good. This is the only thing keeping me going due to fball. McAlarney's fading- 6 feet -behind- the- 3 point- line shots are unreal

I love ND hoops as well and think we have a very fun team to watch, but we could never beat that team one game out of ten. They have us beat in every aspect of the game. For starters, they play much better defense and are much more physical. They are also deeper and more talented which allows them to play the style they do offensively and defensively. They are very aggressive on both ends of the floor and that's coaching. We mirror our coach, who I think coaches this team in a soft manner. We are as good as we can be for the most part, but we are very much a finesse team. If you look at how we have played the past two seasons against teams that dictate tempo like G-Town, Louisville, Marquette, and now UNC, we certainly did'nt handle their pressure very well. Yes we have had some very good wins and I'm certainly not complaining, because Brey at least protects his home court unlike Weis! I think we can make a run in the tourney to about the Elite Eight, but once you get there you are usually facing a supremely talented team. It will be a fun season nonetheless and I hope they prove me dead wrong.

yea UNC's the real deal. Harangody being sick doesnt help esp vs. Hansborough & Co. Deion Thompson is a beast too. UNC has a bench out the hoo-hah. Too tough to stop esp with a healthy Lawson.

even with a healthy gody, UNC is still 10 points better than ND. ND just doesnt have that kind of depth down below. BUt ND is deff a top 7 team, they just didnt have the legs to win that tourny, if u look at the minutes played in two games between the starters, ND's starters were like 75 minutes while UNC's starters were like 45 minutes. Either way the better team won
