View Full Version : I know every coach has the one game at a time approach, but

the USC game is by far the most important. Yeah the five games in front of it are very important, but if we beat USC, it's God then Charlie Weis, but if we lose by 31+ pts, Charlie's in trouble. Also check out the list of recruits coming to see that game:
Terrence Austin
Matt Carufel
Richard Jackson
Toryan Smith
Among others that are interested in visiting are Daron Rose, Sam Young, and Darrin Walls. This is a make-or-break weekend.
Enough pressure playing the #1 team in America, let alone having the possible core of your recruiting class right there with ya, huh?

Irish19 you had to list all those watching at the USC game and spoiil my day
:D However, I just do no think Coach Weis will be unprepared :D :D :D
USC knows one loss and they are out of the whole thing. Nice incentive but 31 points with Weis/Minter?
Two years of rubbing my face watching ND clobbered in South Bend.Take a line from Rudy. "No one..I repeat no one comes into our house (2005) and pushes us around."

I think the days of other teams coming into South Bend and winning are over, there is no reason to loose at home.

I hated that feeling when it seemed like the other team could do no wrong, (i.e. Syracuse in 2003 and Rutgers BBall this past BE tourney). I wasn't saying that the Irish will lose by 31 pts, that's highly unlikely. My incentive on the game is that the Irish hang right with them the whole game. As proven the last three years in the first quarter, the Irish are good enough to hang with USC, but they are in dire need of the proper in-game adjustments.

:D I understand. I think Coach Weis will have them ready for any game then it's up to the KIDZ. (sic) It is a new EVERYTHING at ND even with the old players.
The "No one, I repeat no one comes into our house and pushes us around." ought to be a quatable link here. :D
Me? No one can be undefeated forever...not even Notre Dame. Let's always make a defeat a last second field goal, a slipped on the icy turf defender that missed a receiver or something like that if it must happen.
I'm sure you guys are fans..I've been around a longer time and never-ever seen it this good with out a down ever played yet. :D

Hey, if this is going to be the storybook season we all expect, then why not have every team come in undefeated. Charlie's giant killers! All the more magic to tack on to this upcoming season that will undoubtedly go down in Irish lore. I've removed any and all restraints from my optimism, so be prepared. From here on out I have a high probability of getting ridiculous. GO IRISH!

Snatchy: I just do NOT want USC coming into South Bend with one loss and mad. We can do the job and wreck that li'll thing they have :D

More overconfident with superiority the better.
