With the decisions of Williams, Webb and Cleveland apparently out of the way, quarterback Mitch Mustain, 6-3, 200, 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and wide receiver Andrew Norman, 6-2, 175, 4.5, are the only remaining members of the" Springdale 5 "who are uncommitted. Malzahn is hoping for decisions from those two soon.
" We scrimmage on the 23 rd, and I asked the other two if they are going to commit before the season, to do it before then, "Malzahn said." We really want to put all our thoughts towards [Shreveport] Evangel after that scrimmage. If not, then I want them to wait until the end of the year. "In my gut feeling, I believe my other two will have a good chance of doing it before the season."
Mustain is looking at Arkansas, Miami and Notre Dame and plans to announce his decision on ESPN at some point in the coming days. Malzahn views Mustain making his announcement on national TV as a good thing. "I think anytime you get a chance to be on ESPN and represent your program and you’ve got a player who can do that, it can’t be anything but positive," Malzahn said.
Norman has narrowed his choices to Arkansas, Michigan State, Louisville and Kansas.
