The moderators of Domer Domain have notice a developing trend lately in several of the threads and we would like to address in front of all members so there is no confusion.
Domer Domain was created as a place for “Notre Dame Football News And Forum: Intelligent talk about Notre Dame Football and Fighting Irish sports.” It seems that some of our members have forgotten this credo lately and things have gotten juvenile, to say the least.
With that being said, we are going back to where we came from. From now on, the moderators of Domer Domain will immediately delete any thread/post within a thread, we feel is not up to the standards of the Domer Domain community. We understand the funny posts/threads that make Domer Domain such a great site to be a member of, and those posts/threads will be left alone. With that said we will no longer tolerate the bickering between members in the public forums. If you have a problem with a member or member’s comments, feel free to use the “private message” function that is available to all, to resolve your issues – it will no longer be tolerated in the public forums. We don't want infrequent or new posters feeling intimidated and afraid to post because of the reaction of our members may have towards their ideas.
We have several members that are loyal to other schools, and they are valued members of the Domer Domain community. If for some reason you have a problem with these member’s, and you cannot treat them with the same respect you treat the members loyal to Notre Dame, don’t read their threads/posts and don’t comment on their comments. We would like all our members to feel welcome here, and the hostile treatment of some of our members is not acceptable and will no longer be tolerated.
If opposing viewpoints cannot be discussed in a mature manner, they will be erased, without comment. If the offending members continue to display non-acceptable behavior, they will be notified through the “private message” function by a moderator about their behavior and if this remedy is ineffective, further action will be taken.
We here at Domer Domain would like to have all of our members feel welcome here and feel free to post an opposing viewpoint without retribution or attack. We are not always going to agree, but we should be able to disagree in a mature manner. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact a moderator and they will answer any questions you have.
