I put the link for the whole article below if you care to read it. The exerpt is of interest below because it says "he (Mustain) acknowledged he sought to resume contact with the Fighting Irish..."

Note that is the kid doing so not the Irish or our coaches. It is that kids right to break his word if he so chooses. But if you look at the resulting mess he dragged the Notre Dame Program into, it is deplorable.

Anyone else can rate this kid at the top. I rate him a bottom feeder, arm or not.

You had every magazine, Internet site and what not chewing away. HUGE speculation even here on who might be dumped, Zach or D Jones in favor of Mustain? What pep it would give to our program.

I am putting it this way. This young man has been yanking everyones chain. We had a mess with the Ty thing. Weis came along, Pass Right, 'that would be disrespectful', USC Locker room, Navy and ND at the Alma Mater for Navy...Do I have to go on here?

Character

Trust

Honesty

Integrety

Your word and Mine

I did state Coach Weis has changed recruiting forever. He brought stability into a matter like recruiting that has never been there before.

Our kids, good kids, kids that go to class. Take a look at Fla's 7th floor crew, Texas reports of robbery, our dumb DUI. Hot shot arm, blazing speed.....all blown away in a moment.

Who hasn't said we are back we are on top? Coach would not let some kid drag all that down for 3 extra TD's and a 1/5th of a second faster time.

From Arkansas Democrat Gazette
*********************
Mustain was vague when asked about a report in the South Bend (Ind. ) Tribune that said Notre Dame will not pursue him because of other quarterback commitments, but he acknowledged he sought to resume contact with the Fighting Irish once the season ended. Mustain initially chose Arkansas over more than 25 other schools that offered scholarships and said in August that Notre Dame was his second choice.

I dont think I would want this kid anyway...Notre Dame as a SECOND choice? Keep walking man! I keep tellling you guys Frazer is a stud and the more I keep hearing about Jones the more I like. Mustain had a chance to commit a long time ago and didnt do it. Lets put our hopes and faith in the boys who had Notre Dame as thier FIRST choice, move on and let this go.

well guys, it seems like maybe Mich has had second thoughts, i guess his mother was a big influence on him, maybe he is still coming per my friend in little rock. i guess he wants to prove to the coaches that he is ready to commit, as for the other guy Zack, man this kid looks great 8)

I found this on another board from a poster I really respect, I wanted all of you to see it

Now, before you read this and get all excited one way or the other, I kindly ask you to keep it in context.
MM is a former and I stress the word "possible," not probable future ND recruit. I like to visit other boards to see what's being discussed. A recent visit was to ND Fans. The board is run by a friend of Georgia Irish. The information I'm repeating is credited to that board and a discussion which included Georgia Irish.

Apparently, GI was listening to 680 The Fan, which had Mortensen on. Mort supposedly has ties to Ark.
Mort's comments were, according to GI, "Mitch wants desperatley to go to ND". Mort also through his source named MM's preference order by school.

1) ND-Is Choice
2) ALB.-Major player if ND is not possible
3) Tenn.-Just in the Mix
4) Ark.-No Interest at all

In the end, discusion did get back to exactly what we all new and have assumed. MM wants ND. MM has talked to CW. MM has been told that there is "no room" unless something drastic happens. MM has been told he is 4 to 5 down on the schollie list with only three available. MM was also told that ND is happy with the two QB recruits we have. "His" interest in ND is expected to prolong his committment until NSD.

I think Mort is pretty reliable, he does a great job getting info for the NFL, how hard could it be for him to get info one a high school kid, plus his kid plays at arkansas and from what I have seen his kid and mustain are buddies...

MM blew his shot in my opinon, he may want in but like kates its too little to late, you guys had your chance but the Charlie Army is full for the year, have fun watching us win and best of luck

:D Jk I've been saying that all along here. That is a "ME! ME! ME!" Kid if I ever saw one. That alone excludes him from ND. :D All the hype is from HIS END about ND. Which I presume is he being clever in making other schools think he's ND worthy so a hot commodity. In that aspect he's using the ND factor to prime his own pump.

Interesting to note Tenn is not really a factor and after Weis/Vaas...I consider Coach Cut the best possible Coach a QB could possibly have.

As it is he's blown any credibility, skills or not. If I was an Ark fan I'd be disgusted if he stayed there. Scrape him from beneath your heel.
