Rumors are flying heavily on the Rivals board that we MAY have pulled a QB scholarship due to character issues. The speculation was toward D. Jones. Mustain would than most likely take his spot. AGAIN, SIMPLY A RUMOR AND NOTHING ELSE. But one of the II writers did say that it looks like something IS up and he is checking into it.

I'm checking with my inside source. Let you know if I hear anything.

I know they are 'rumors' as you say but thanks. Something to watch carefully. That then would open a slot for QB and as you corrected me Weis has taken a kid who decommitted elsewhere. Still drops it to Tenn and ND. I can find no public record Charlie was in Ark as another rumor stated though.

I had the late thought if like a posting board All this could be from P***d off ND fans that Jones was thinking of decommiting. ?? So sort of trash the one now that another is availible like Mustain?? Character issues like I implied... well it just sounds so bad and lerts your mind dream up all sorts of crap. Your ready to hang someone without a triaPlease keep us posted and explain if this is from the paid Rivals people in contact or just fans commenting. If fans then I tube it. I'm discoverin a bunch of so called ND fans that more or less skew facts to what they think is our benifit. That's really sad.

Rhema is far from a disappointment. Going into this season, Rhema was on pace to break many ND receiving records. He wasn't All American type but far from a disappointment.

I'd like to have Mustain, but I'm worried that this sort of thing is now rooting for Charlie to pull the plug on Jones. And that's not right to do with a 17-18 year old kid. Remember, when ND talks about character issues, we don't mean breaking and entering or taking money from a booster. We mean, flagged a Latin test or got detention for being tardy...

Plus, if there were significant character issues now, presumably there would be a past history, and if we're just learning about it now the staff didn't do their homework.

Again, no one knows if Jones was thinking about decommitting, even if he was again he's not an adult, and prone to stupid behavior. Hell, most adults I know are prone to stupid behavior.

Before we speculate any more let's wait for some actual news, at least in respect to Jones' discipline record.

again, i'd like to have mustain, but charlie's made the bed... i'm not upset with the job he's done, just saying we were pumped when we got frazer and dd, we shouldn't be bummed now that MM probably won't be coming

Indeed no problem> A rumor is a rumor and should be mentioned. So you were correct in doing so and so labeling it. It was worth chewing over pro and con. Sometimes they pan out and ignoring them one is blindsided :D
