I just read an article on Scout.com stating that Josh Oglesby the 6'8 300 pound junior offensive and defensive tackle from Wisconsin has a phone conversation with Charlie Weis every week just to talk about life,recruiting,and football. I get the feeling about coach Weis that it isnt just a ploy to get this kid to ND either although im sure he wants his signature come signing day. As with everyone im sure Charlie is up front and honest with this kid. The article also stated Oglesby is very well spoken and spoken of ,just some of the many reasons Notre Dame is interested. I have read on this site that many are expecting Oglesby to commit to Notre Dame.Sounds like a future ND man to me! This just seems to cement it alittle more. The article also stated Oglesby is the top rated Junior offensive tackle in the nation. If what many are claiming is true and we are in the drivers seat for Clausen landing Oglesby to go along with him would be fantastic! Way to go Charlie and staff!

yes ND is one of his favs, ND competiton is Ohio St, Wiscy and maybe Michigan. I still think ND has the lead. it would be nice to get some commits from Clauson,Oglesby,Martin and Dailey.

?? Talk on the phone if he is a Junior? I'm not sure I think the rule is still cell texting. Maybe that was what was meant by 'talk.' I believe it weill be forbidden to contact in person till school starts.

But then also Coach Weis can be opening up some Junior contacts in California as well. Most likely visit the school and coach but avoid direct contact to the kid. Impress the coach and your half weay there.

a recruiting guru recently stated that ND is about to get it's first junior committment but it won't be announced for a month or two. Most people expect it to be Oglesby.

you can contact juniors as of sept 1st of there junior year. but there is some dead periods dont know when though.

I undestand exactly where your going with that! It seems like we always got to these guys too late into thier senior year when coaches had already made relationships with these kids when they were sophmores and juniors. I love what im seeing and hearing out of this staff!
