At 6'5", 250 pounds, Blake projects to be a DE for Notre Dame. He currently plays Middle LB for his high school team, but plans on adding weight to make the switch. Mr. Lueders becomes the seventh pledge for Notre Dame's 2010 class, following the verbal of QB Andrew Hendrix. He currently holds 16 scholarship offers, and in 2008, recorded 128 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, two blocked kicks and one safety while playing inside linebacker. Not too shabby for a lifetime, diehard ND fan!
Andrew Hendrix became Notre Dame’s sixth verbal commitment late Wednesday night, after stating that “Notre Dame had everything I wanted”. Hendrix is the 11th rated QB out of this class, but that’s sure to change after this season. With over fifteen major college offers, including those from Tennessee, Miami, Stanford, Purdue, Nebraska and Wisconsin; it’s a safe bet that the arrow is pointing up in his potential. Some have said that he’s the “sleeper” in this QB field. At 6’3”, 220 pounds, Andrew definitely passes the eyeball test. He’s known to be an excellent runner as well and very fluid in his stride. He finished his junior season with 1,700 yards passing, eleven touchdowns with only seven interceptions. He’ll really benefit sitting behind Dayne Crist, and learning from Charlie Weis.
