Notre Dame is on a mission, spending dime on worthy cases. Building blocks to further goals, a littered campus with new faces

Some decide and some do not, making friends and signing balls. Others leave for family reasons, turning down our coaches’ calls

Five-star, four-star, three-star rankings, cattle herded in big cities. One by one a hat is worn, causing chaos with great pity

He said she said they said yes, but he chose to go here instead. Liar, liar pants on fire, you said he’d be in SouthBend

We still are weak at this position, won’t he get one more for this? I can’t believe he offered this guy, his forty time isn’t worth the risk

Can he kick it out of here, and can he catch a bubble screen? He looks to stiff to run a straight line, why’s he smiling isn’t he mean?

And what about this guy’s MySpace profile, shows he can’t be trusted right? Stacks of money alcohol pouring, I never did that high school nights

Overbearing we became, While watching film of a high school game

Can’t we hold kids at one level and not act the professional way? Soon we’re going to realize that it has, trickled on down to our owns kids play

Football’s almost here to end this, speculative talk on this guy’s choice. I can’t wait for this to happen, soon forgetting all this noise

Wolverines not today, as we land our 13th commitment Zach Martin, a former Michigan lean. Martin adds to our offensive line haul, an athletic, versatile athlete who has the “mean streak” necessary to punch the defense back into submission. With Watt and Bullard rounding out the other three, our class is really starting to resemble a class from the Columbus region. And yet there might be more.

It’s important to reflect on what Charlie and staff are doing here. One year after a mind-numbing 3-9 season, the worst in Notre Dame’s storied history, Weis seemed destined to have a “wait & see” year when it came to recruiting. But that simply is not the case. Recruits are buying into Notre Dame and their coaching staff at a boggling pace. How can it be you ask yourself?

Unlike many other college campuses, there seems to be this much-talked about mystique blowing throughout the side-walked quads, impossible for a heart-beating human not to notice. So is this for real? Are recruits feeling this emotional rush down their spines on a beautiful fall day, as the band serenades a respectful audience on their way to the stadium? According to some reports, yes.

“When I arrived to Notre Dame for my first visit, I thought that this would be what all universities would be like, but that wasn’t the case” Alex Bullard replied when being asked about his initial visit. “How can anything be better than Notre Dame?” said Nicholas Tausch who hasn’t even stepped onto campus yet. “Academics are important to me, and once I reviewed my options, nothing was going to prepare me better than Notre Dame. The whole tradition thing really means a lot to me as well. I want to be part of something great and I feel it will happen soon” stated the nations top running back Cierre Wood at a recent skills camp.

This year’s recruiting is starting to snowball downhill at an unbelievable rate. Don’t be surprised to hear about a couple of more verbals before the season starts either. The boat is full steam ahead and many don’t want to be left off.

Congratulations to Chris Zorich and coach Lou Holtz on entering the College Football Hall of Fame, a most deserving duo from the Bend.
